'82 Caddy (sold)

Now this is a project car! After buying the tan truck almost completely finished, I felt like I had cheated myself of the true VW experience, so I bought this wonderwagon. For all the confused wiring and home-made accessories, it ran awsome, and didn't blow smoke the whole way home. The previous owner must be some sort of intuitive mechanical and electrical genius, because there's no way he could have found any of this stuff in a book. As soon as we got it to Jon's, we gutted the interior to make it ready for a real black one from a jetta. We also pulled the extra batterry and all the wiring that wasn't in the Bently manual. I then went to the junkyard and purchased the only nice windshield I could find for $37 (It blew off the roof of the truck cab and shatterred 2 days later). Got a second windshield, for $40, and cracked it during installation.

Sold the truck when I was trying to divest myself of A1s to buy a new Golf4 TDI (what was I thinking?!). It was towed away with the Jetta dash installation only partway done, the Mk1 Sciroco grill even less complete, the sliding rear window and SS Techtonics exhaust still in boxes, and a butt-load of other spare parts that I really wish I had now.
